GUCCI MANE IS BACK BEHIND BARS

After only three months on the street, Gucci Mane is back behind bars.

In April, Gucci was jailed on numerous unspecified probation violations, which stem from a

2005 aggravated assault case. That month, however, the Atlanta rapper was also arrested on

charges he shoved a female passenger from a moving vehicle back in January. While Gucci

served time on probation violations from the '05 case, he had yet to be sentenced in the

January incident until Tuesday (September 13).

The rapper's attorney Ashutosh Joshi, confirmed to MTV News that Gucci has been sentenced

to six months in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of battery, two counts of reckless conduct

and one count of disorderly conduct for pushing a woman out of his Hummer back on January

28.

The "Wasted" MC is currently locked up in Georgia's DeKalb County Jail, where his lawyer

hopes he will be allowed to serve out his entire sentence. "It's a case that we knew about, that

we expected would come about at some point," Joshi said.

State Court Judge Eleanor Ross sentenced Gucci to six months and three years of probation,

which is to take effect after his release. As a result of his plea, the Atlanta trap spitter was

ordered to complete 12 weeks of anger management courses, pay $5,091 to cover the

woman's medical bills and a separate $3,000 fine. (The 1017 rapper's current sentence also

satisfies the criminal damage to government property charge he was handed after kicking a

cop car last year.)

On the morning of January 28, the victim, a 36-year-old Atlanta resident, was at the South

DeKalb Mall, when she was approached by a male driving a white Hummer; he was eventually

identified as Gucci Mane. According to the victim, Gucci asked if she wanted to get breakfast,

to which she agreed before entering his vehicle. However, once inside the truck, Gucci allegedly

offered the victim $150 to "go to the hotel." When she refused and asked to be driven back to

the mall, the rapper allegedly leaned over to open the passenger side door and shoved her out

of the moving vehicle.

According to the report, the victim "had redness on her left side/ back area." And although she

had never met Gucci before, the victim stated that she was familiar with his music and

"recognized an 'ice cream cone' tattooon the suspect's face."

How will Gucci's current sentence affect his career? Tell us what you think in the comments.

‘Sizzla Kalonji’ ACCIDENT

Miguel ‘Sizzla Kalonji’ Collins is making a remarkable comeback from I grave bike mishap (accident) which he has experienced recently in St Ann’s Jamaica.  He was left nursing broken bones and had internal bleeding he has since exited hospital and is going through convalescence at home.  This reggae stalwart is known for songs such as ‘Black Woman and Child’ and ‘Thank you Mamma’.  Sizzla has always been the voices for the oppressed poor in the inner city who see no avenue of relieve themselves from the stigma or struggles of their childhood. We wish him a speedy recovery and hope he makes a paradigm shift because fate did not dictate its pace as it he was meant to be amongst us.  Praise Ye Jah!

FP JOURNEY

New acts Platnum and Flavanaid are making waves in the industry after they made a cameo appearance in the sunshine city Portmore.  They tore the house down with their ever growing hit single ‘Granny Dip’. The song Granny Dip was greatly enhanced with the intervention of renowned hot stepper ‘Diamond’ of ‘Card Unit’ of Dancin Dynamite fame and other’s in the well publicized show ‘Dancin Dynamite”. ‘Bad Mind People’ was done solely by Platnum in acapella and ‘Step Pon Dem’ was done by Flavanaid alongside the dancer.
The smooth silky voices of these two emerging artistes will be with us for a very long time to come.  They will be shooting the video for Granny Dip in Negril in November.  It will be crazy; many are anticipating a rise of these new kids on the block. The crowd went wild with their magical display.  Their music is clean and it has a unique feel which will create a stir in music circles where patrons are hungry for good new acts which can move the music to a higher dimension.  As their writer I find it pleasing to say this.
We are highly protective of our children so our music are well written with puns which will activate laughter and subsequently happiness.  The Broadcasting Commission will not have to intervene in our musical journey.  Our music can be played in the commissioner’s office or in the presence of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s 11 domains Buckingham Palace.  We are mostly engrossed with the delivery of fine cultural stuff which depicts either love verses or social commentaries.  Most of our songs are made with the intent of showing love affairs ether good or bad.

“MAVADO PROTECTED”

The Gully Side Gad Mavado is crying foul in an interview with Winford Williams on CVM.  He said bad-minded people are always calling up his and having a field’s day with his name and blaming him for many despicable acts he is not even aware of.  Mavado is rather thankful that his US visa has been returned to him for him to fulfill his many obligations in the aftermath of this drawback.  Mavado claimed a pastor prayed for him and he is protected by a higher power.  Mavado has said Alliance has many of his friends but Gully him say same way.  It seems not be a pyrrhic victory for Mavado.  Mavado does conscious song like ‘Hope and Pray’ an ‘On the Rock’.  His new hit singles ‘Pepper’ and ‘Delilah’ are getting heavy rotation.  Good luck Mavado in all you entire endeavors.

“DIVORCE PAPER”

The timeless Beenie Man had a whale of a time amongst some of his contemporaries in the Big Apple (NY) recently as he was acknowledged for his tremendous and invaluable contribution to reggae and dancehall genre. Beenie Man is known for ageless songs such as King of the Dancehall and Dancehall Queen.  I-Octane and Tarrus Riley made a blistering return to New York with some of their cutting edge lyrics. Beenie was the man of the moment because he recently had his visa returned to him so he was able to travel to Uncle Sam’s country again.  There is bitter sweet for Moses ‘Beenie Man’ Davis because his estranged wife Michelle D’Angel Downer both sent divorcĂ© paper to each other citing irreconcilable differences as relates to future experience as man and wife.  They both welcomed the decision but vouched to protect the interest of their single child together Marco-Dean Davis.
